in july 2010 we put out our first issue of the fortnightly free-sheeter and it carried a few news stories of local interest and a lot of information on chemists and where visiting doctors could be found on which days and at what times. it also carried information on train times as well as for buses out of bolpur, telephone numbers for some eateries and provision stores and some book shops as well. putting out this newspaper and the fact that it seemed to be a wee bit popular made us bold to compile a business directory in 2015. the paper is no longer in publication…

encouraged by the response we got for the Bolpur Santiniketan Business Directory 2015, we decided to bring out an update in 2017. since it seemed as if people were intimidated or put off by the word ‘directory’ we called this one the ‘shoppers’ guide’. hard copy in the form of a book is available as well for ₹100.
